ELEVEN

Classic blend of herbs and spices is a savory peppery blend perfect for seasoning meats and veg before frying or baking. Balanced blend of sweet paprika*, sea salt, white and black pepper*, garlic*, mustard*, nutritional yeast*, basil*, cayenne*, celery seed*, ginger*, thyme*, oregano*. *organic

For a lighter coating season meats first (to prevent burning) then dredge in plain cornstarch.

Season meats first then coat with panko bread crumbs and bake for a super crunchy coating and no oil.

Use ELEVEN wherever you need an all-purpose seasoning salt - it will add great color and flavor to roasted veggies, salad dressings, soups and sauces.

Crispy Fried Chicken
~makes a dozen pieces~

6 chicken drums and 6 thighs (if you use breast meat, halve them to shorten cooking time in oil)
1 cup buttermilk & salt to taste
1 cup flour
2 Tbsp ELEVEN, divided
1 quart neutral cooking oil

In a large bowl or zip bag, mix buttermilk & salt to dissolve then add chicken pieces and make sure all are coated well. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
When ready to fry, remove chicken from fridge and drain off most of the buttermilk. Toss with 1 Tbsp ELEVEN and allow to come back to room temp while you prep everything else.
In a large shallow bowl whisk flour,  cornstarch, and 1 Tbsp ELEVEN.
Heat oil in a large cast iron pan until it reaches 375 degrees (a wooden spoon or skewer will bubble energetically when hot enough).
Place several pieces of chicken in flour mixture and coat well. Shake off excess and place carefully in hot oil. Do not overcrowd pan!! fry until deep golden brown (8-10 minutes) turning occasionally.
